Every cement tile is made by hand, one by one, using metal moulds and a hydraulic press. We carefully select high-quality raw materials such as Portland cement, sand, marble powder, water and natural pigments to achieve an exceptional finish.
Our cement tiles are the result of time-honoured Moroccan craftsmanship, enhanced by German technical expertise thanks to Mr Daniel Bailo, founder of our company in Morocco. Surrounded by 23 experienced craftsmen, Mr Bailo has combined tradition and innovation to create unique cement tiles in which quality and beauty go hand in hand.
Unlike ceramic tiles, our tiles are not fired: they gain their strength through a controlled drying process. A pigmented layer of 3 to 4 mm ensures exceptional resistance and long-lasting durability. The charm of cement tiles lies in their subtle variations: thickness, size, colour and even slight irregularities along the edges or in the patterns. These imperfections, inherent to the handcrafted process, give each tile a unique authenticity.
Over time, the cement and pigments may develop a slightly mottled, lime-like effect, adding a natural patina that only grows more beautiful over the years. To preserve their beauty, our tiles require careful sealing, adapted to their use and the desired final look. Care with suitable products is essential to protect the surface without altering its natural texture.
Some waxes or soaps may leave a film that is visible in certain lighting, creating a flaked effect that is part of the charm of these living materials. In short, our cement tiles are much more than a simple covering: they are unique pieces that evolve and improve over time, enriching your space with their authentic, timeless character.
